  • introduce chocolate
  • show that it’s relevant to students because they eat chocolate
  • place students within the chocolate chain as consumers
  • demonstrate the spending power students have, especially when the amount spent on chocolate per person is calculated as a total for the whole school

  • do students like chocolate?
  • how is chocolate made?
  • which companies make the chocolate they eat?
  • how many of these are there?
  • where does cocoa come from?
  • who grows it?
  • what is chocolate made of and what makes it so irresistible?
  • what is the journey from bean to bar?
